Snake Creek Area

Planning a trip to the Snake Creek area just west of Platte South Dakota around September/October. Can someone tell me the prime time to hit the fall bite?

Depends on weather and water levels. They will start dropping Lake Francis Case in Oct. and alot of ramps become unusable.

I would head out late sept all the way through oct last year the fish where still deep on the trees south of snake caught some shallow but the good bite was deep it was the 2nd week in oct. when we went. i would go south.

Call Dock 44 if you go in Oct, can be a real pain sometimes to launch.
