I Purchased a LCX113CHD and LCX28CHD two years ago. I mounted the 113 on the dash early in the season but did not receive the 28 until midseason. Both units worked fine the first year although I had limited use of 28. The next season the 28 had issues with the on/off button. I sent the unit in and received a new head because it was under warranty. I did have to replace the transducer on the bow mount 28. This year I was fishing early in the cold water season and the hardrive went out on the 113. I contacted Lowrance and its going to cost me $500.00 to repair/replace the head. I bought a chip to get me through the season. In May while fishing a tourney the 28 went dead. I again contacted Lowrance and it will cost over $300.00 to replace/repair unit. Again this year I had to replace the transducer on the 28. Both units are out of warranty. Anyone have any helpful suggestion in dealing with Lowrance. I love the units but they breaking me. As I read the threads I wonder if I should have spent my money elsewhere? I could see having issues if I misuse the units but I treat them like my first born. Again any helpful suggestions are appreciated. Paul

From what I'm hearing about Lowrance, the next time I'm in the market for a depth finder I will be looking at a Hummingbird. My current Lowrance unit is 2 years old and has begun to loose gps tracking. My trail looks like a dash line. It seems to come out of it after 15-30 minutes after turning it on.
