No, 620 is 3 stage, 2050 is 2 stage, it's slightly different running surface.

I've also wondered about the difference as well. I've heard the 620 has a much better ride. These boats are within ten pounds of each other and within 2" of length. I find it hard to believe you would notice much of a difference at all. I would like to hear from somone that has ridden each. Is the three stage hull much different than the two stage in say 2 - 3' waves?

Which hull design offers better fuel economy( if all weights were equal)?

I'm sure the fuel consumption difference would be less than negligible. The boats are completely different. I would have a hard time believing that someone would base their decision on fuel consumption between these two models.

I dont know how much this will help but I have ridden in the 620's alot and I own a 1850 Reata. Now I know it's not close for comparison an 18' boat to a 20' boat but I will tell you with the 1850 in 2-3 foot waves is really no big difference. The reata will jump on top and still handles great. I'm sure you will not get beat around as much in the 20' but as for the hull, it's a nice ride. The worst I had my boat into date was the Devils Lake Chamber tour this year w/5 to 6' waves. It wasn't dry and it was slow going (5 mile run) dead into the waves but I wasn't urinating blood for the next week either.:shame:

Forgot to mention, I will also be looking to buy a 2050 next season but would like to ride in one also before the purchase.
