View Full Version : oil to gas ratio ?
Anyone with an older kicker, in a 1986 evinrude 9.9 what is the proper mix, 50 to 1 or 100 to 1 ?

I own a 1968 9.0 evinrude and a 1992 9.9 evinrude still have the original owners manual for the 92 and it says 50:1 ....run 50:1 in the 68 also and never had a problem......B-lou

Some OMC motors from that era specified 100:1. Not sure how well that worked for them ,as I think they went back to 50:1. Either way,if it were me, I would run it 50:1.

My '66 3-horse and '83 7.5 horse OMC's specify 50:1.

I have a 68' and a 79' and they both are 50:1
