Not a pro, but I just bought 2 a 6'6" Medium Action IM-6, and a 7' Medium action IM-6. The rods have a good feel, the cork handle is substantial, and they are pretty sesitive. Not sure if I like the purple color yet! Paid $30.00 each for them at a local shop on Hoover Res in Ohio. All I needed was my license!

I am extremely pleased with the Signature series...I ordered the 6'7" HM-55 for a rigging rod. Not a lot of 6'7" on the market in this price range that feel this good with a medium light action. Perfect live bait rigging rod. Every single person that has picked it up loved it. Can't wait to stick one of those big uns on it. Also will use the 7 footer medium trigger spin and a 6'6" jigging rod in ML. Made in the USA and very reasonably priced. You can't go wrong on these rods! Mark

Manitobawalleye- Unrelated to your post. Have you ever spent time on Dauphin lake? I was thinking about bringing my fishing rod with next year during the hunting season. I know it is a shallow lake and it gets really cloudy when the wind blows. How about Waterhen lake. I have heard that there are big walleyes in these two lakes. I have also heard that there is a fair amount of commercial fishing going on there. i would be interested to hear if you have fished that area.

have not spent any time on dauphin lake....
i do not think they will have a walleye season next year due to
over netting...
when are you hunting and for what....
waterhen river i have fished and the right time in the fall you can get some nice eye's but the north end at the lake is usually netted by the natives....
if you are goose hunting there are some very good spots close to the red....oak hammock marsh
morning geese and afternoon walleyes....
you can always ask dan kiazyk at cateye outfitters about dauphin lake as i think he goes out this way
also the whitemud river by portage gets a decent big eye run

When I'm up in that area I am usually hunting ducks and geese and occasionally some upland birds. I have been hunting that for many years. I have seen people lined up and fish the West Waterhen river in Oct. I tried fishing Lake Manitoba 2 yrs ago. I caught 1 decent walleye. Fished only a couple of hours.
I have talked to the fella Dan you mentioned through another forum. He gave me some decent info. Thanks for the Link
