Can a second transducer be added to a 7520? I know you can network to displays but can I buy another transducer for the trolling motor and use it inconjunction with the rear transducer seeing both on the same screen?

Yes, you need another transducer and a CBAY cable

Presuming the second transducer is part of a PinPoint trolling motor, yes.
Otherwise, I don't think so.
SET the hook!!!

No the transducer is a sep unit not part of pinpoint motor, I want to put it on a motorguide motor. What is a cbay cable?

Yes, you would need to get a multiple transducer Y cable (MTDY04) along with the IFPKTD02, interference puck transducer. You would connect the Y cable to the back of the 7520 and then connect the two transducers to the Y cable. One connection is for the transducer with speed and temp, labeled ACCS Connection, and the other would be for the second transducer, labeled "Puck". You can select one or the other to view, but you will not be able to spilt the screens between to different transducers unless you have more than one sonar. The PINPOINT trolling motor has a built in sonar, but the MotorGuide with or without the built-in transducer does not. If you have any further questions, Pinpoints new number is 920-929-5040, Mercury-MotorGuide consumer affairs.
