I have a LCX-25C and I just bought a brand new antenna puck (LGC-2000) last year and it worked fine. Now this year, all summer, the question mark just flashes all day and will never find my position. Can the antenna be shot ALREADY? please help.

Make sure the independent power lead is good, check the fuse and switch.
Now I have the 5200 globalmap with the 2000 puck also and as of now have had no problems, knock on wood!
I have read that the pucks are extreme hot and cold sensitive. I didn`t take mine off the boat over the winter months but thought maybe I should have.
Some say they thought that storing the boat under a cover in the hot sun could take these antennas out too.
Also check the pins on the wire connection going to the head unit for corrosion or bent pins.

thanks for the advice. I know there is power to the antenna because the unit will tell me "gps module not responding" if there isnt any power. i hope its not the puck and there is maybe something messed up in the settings. thanks for the advice though.

go in and make sure the wass is not on.
I think if the module was connected and working it would get a lock with the Wass on or off, but just very poor accuracy.
So...I suspect a poor connection, or a bad module. Since it it telling you it can't connect than it is switched on so the GPS function was not appenently turned off acidentaly.
Maybe test a friends module on it and see if it locks in then, if it does, you found your problem.

Where are you located? I'm in central MN. and I have a 3000 puck you could try. It works on my 25 and 37.

go to lowrance website and check to see if there is an update available for that unit. If so? That may solve your problem??????????

thanks for more advice guys. I have a new one coming in the mail to try and see if it makes a difference. I am a little scared to start with the updates as i have heard a few horror stories resulting from them.
I had this happen to me. Adding the next heavier gage wire with a new power coonnection to the antenna fixed it.
It seems like there are many who end up figuring the puck is the problem but I think a poor power connection is often overlooked.
