Transducer Question

I need some help.

I am currently running a X45 in the front of the boat with the transducer ran through a the Genesis trolling motor shaft. If I buy a new X 71 or X 91 is the transducer the same as the X45? Or do I have to run a new tranducer cable throught the shaft again?

I had questions about Lowrance transducers and someone on this site told me to go to:

They answered my questions by calling me because my e-mail kept 'bouncing' on them.

Art, you will need a new transducer, and yes...it will have to be installed within.
