Can someone tell me the difference between the C-series and the
e-series?

E-series is the new hi-def version. Has ability for all the newer chips and graphics etc. It is a system, the display unit has to have the modules added that you want, sonar, gps.etc. Raymarine.com has a good explanation. Very cool unit.
