I'm trying to decide the value of my 2002 Merc 9.9 Big Foot. Any ideas?

Bob:
NADA provides pricing guides for used boat equipment:
http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-24-38-5697-0-0-0&l=1&w=24&p=38&f=5698&m=0013&d=17001301213&y=2002&ml=M&gc=MR>c=OB
If your motor is 15" shaft manual start, they say average retail value is around $700.

Thanks Rebs, it is a 4 stroke 9.9 BigFoot, tiller, ele. start and set up to run off main boat tank. Looks like aver. retail is about $960. Didn't think about NADA, use them sometimes for vehicles. Did some searches to see what people are asking for them, couldn't find many?
I had it on a Panther Lift with panther steering. Panther lift quit working so I took it off the boat. Now I'm thinking about selling it and dumping the panther lift and using bags to troll with -- I've been using them and the work well. Only troll part time but kind of hate putting those hours on big motor ???

I would ask $1500, maybe $1200
I find NADA way too low for that stuff
for that advice, you can send me your panter lift for spare parts
;)

I'm hoping you and perchjerker don't hold you breath waiting on me LOL
I think I'll get the lift fixed and THEN sell it :-)
Thanks for all the replies
