What's the scoop on the green nightcrawlers? Is anyone doing well with them, or is this just some kind of green gimmick? Would like to know before I buy some myself. Thanks.

We tried the Wacky crawlers last season in Sturgeon Bay. We came to the conclusion that they didn't work any better than the good old plain crawler. I might add that green fingers and green on the floor didn't impress the owner of the boat either. LOL My advice is to just use regular crawlers. Good luck! <;{{{{<<( Mr.Pike
P.S. If anyone out there has found them to catch fish better under "special" conditions--Please advise!!!

Thanks Mr Pike. You confirmed my suspicion, but I simply didn't know from my own experience. Good luck to you.

I agree with these guys. My partner had green, I had plain, there was no difference. Except his hands were green.

Hey, were you fishing with me last year? That is exactly the same experience that we had. My buddy stepped on the crawler container and spent a month trying to get the green out of the carpet. Did you see the orange ones? Uuuugh!
My research has shown no preferrence on Green Bay.

I heard a report from Mille Lacs that the green crawlers were working well...whether thats better than standard crawlers i dont know. Never tried them myself.....

Hey Crew,
No preferance, except that shown by the smallies up there! I used them last summer out off Larsons Reef and could not beat the smallies off them with a paddle!! ;-)
Otherwise, I have not had a trip where any preferance was shown either. They do catch fish though.
Good luck.......R
