I basically want to know how this hull drifts and how easy it is to control in the wind. In a chop of only 2 footers, the last boat I had could not be held on a spot to jig out of the bow; even with a 36v trolling motor. Do a lot of jig fishing from the bow as well as drifting. Want to be able to enjoy my time out instead of fighting the boat. Nothing on Tuffy website about what I'm asking. Only says has a smooth, dry ride in rough water.
Thank you!!!!

I have a 05 ,2060 dual consol wheel boat with a 15 hp merc 4stk and a 80 24v AP 60 inch shaft. I have fished Red lake Mn., Devils lake, LOW, but primarily the Boat and I are on Mille Lacs 2 to 5 days a week . So I can say from experence that it fishes well with the Minnkota in any water where you can keep the prop in the water . I sometimes use one or two drift bags to drift live bait and have pulled plugs in some pretty rough water using the 15 hp. With that said there is no substitue for trying a boat and seeing if it does what you want. I will buy another Tuffy the only close contender for me would be a Yarcraft. I have been in many other Boats and chose the Tuffy . I would suggest that you get on , Walleyefirst.com , one of the site owners, Steve Worral is or use to be the national sales manager for Tuffy he can probably arrange for you to get some seat time in a Tuffy . Feel free to email me if you have more specific questions .

Hal, where are you located? Most Tuffy owners would gladly take you out for a test ride. All you have to do is ask. If you are in the Northeast Wisconsin area, I will take you out myself.
