This past weekend Kinzua Outdoors held their 4th annual "Take a Vet" fishing event.

Saturday was a fun day on the water with our military friends enjoying themselves fishing and telling stories on the water, and afterwords at the traditional Buffet and awards.

While we learned of the unfortunate passing of one of our original Vets from Ohio since last years event, we were pleased to have several new faces join us for a fun and relaxing day.

Once again Terri Cawley made our traditional ceremonial cake, and Dominic Petruzzi, a Vet from 2004, and part of the original wave that arrived at Iraq cut the first piece. We would all like to thank Dominic, along with every one who stood before him, currently , and in the future. It is because of Men and Women like him that allows us to have the freedom to enjoy a day like we did, Thank You!!!!!

On this beautiful day, we were also fortunate to have Maria Blume join us for the days event. Maria is the first women Vet to participate in this event, and we are honored to have her, Thank You, Maria.

While not everyone brought a fish to the scale, everyone did have a smile, and enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to all our sponsors, we were able to pay back 100% of the entry money again this year, Thank you all!!!

Top 5 fish winners were:
1st - Maria Blume
2nd - Harry Whittemore
3rd - Ed Greenwalt
4th - Gary Colley
5th - Earl (Big E.) Wood

There were several door prizes, and some special commemorative Case knives were purchased and awarded thanks to our gratious sponsors.

I would like to thank every one for coming and thank all the boat captains for making this a special day for a lot of vets that wouldn't have otherwise had the opportunity to go fishing and enjoy their day, Thank You.
