first visit to this pretty lake in NY. Stayed at anglers bay cottages (needs updated, very nice people, decent docks but caution needs to be exercised when heading out to the lake from here, very shallow and some large boulders in here, however is marked well. Fished from the 109 to the 119 buoys at various times of the day. Very violent storms in the evenings may have pushed the bite off somewhat, caught eyes while trolling using Contender spoons, seemed like they liked the perch colors the best. Some fish also taken with Rapala 13`s in perch color, also caught some really nice jumbo perch. All in all was a good trip, very few boats even on the weekend, would love to return in the fall and see how the bites going then. Most eyes came off the bottom, would recommend this lake for someone looking for something new,Sylvan beach is a town out of the 60`s but really enjoyed it. This town is a movie producers dream. Anyone need more info pm me, thanks

Hello Kevin,
I will be fishing out of Angler's Bay Cottages Labor Day Weekend. Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. I have fished Oneida about 5 times through the years and got blown off the water all but 1 time. What depth were you finding the walleyes. I usually fish Bay of Quinte in the Summer but schedule did not permit me to get up there this year. Seems Oneida habitat may be similar to Quinte.
