I've been having a similar problem with my 111C. It seems to be an intermittent problem. It'll work when I start out, then loose the signal, regain it, loose it again, etc. I'll be interested to see what people suggest here.

There has been a ton of talk about this. You would probably have the best luck searching the site for previous threads. Lots of good info there that should help get your gps fixed.

Out of curiosity when did it start doing this, any relationship to a software upgrade?

The WAAS must be off or it will give you trouble. I assume whis is external antenna, make sure connections are very clean and tight, pin fitment is a must. The serisal data from the antenna is very tender will not tolarate poor connectivity. Also the voltage and ground to the unit both antenna and the GPS must be excellant. there is a small threshold of acceptable voltage, I think Lorance told me 11 volts which means top notch battery and charging systems and perfect connections both power and ground

I have a 2007 model 113C-HD with a 3000 series antenna. I get the position lost message at least 20 times during a 4 hour fishing trip. I have replaced the GPS antenna at my expense and Lowrance replaced my 113C-HD last fall. Neither of these two solutions solved the problem.

What I don't understand is when I get the position lost message if I power down the 113C-HD and then power right back up the unit will lock very quickly and stay locked for 30 minutes if I am lucky.

I have been a Lowrance fan all of my fishing career but this unit has me seriously considering Hummingbird electronics on my next boat.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

All,
My dealer has replaced the backbone connection...it must be the backbone connection that has the Maroon (red) screw down caps...the blue connections were not screw down and would bend and loose connections.
