Hi,
I am thinking of using berkley vanish to tie snells for live bait rigs/bottom bouncer spinner combos. Anyone tried this? How did it work. I don't really want it for a main line, just for the snells.
Thanks,

Just tried it this opener and last weekend. No problems, caught 15 walleyes (2 three pounders and a 5) and a couple of northerns. I'm going to keep on with it.
i started using it this spring and i think it works great, just make sure your knots are really wet. i find the line does not slip very well when tightening. i find that their advertising is correct as it is hard to see in the water.

Began using Seaguar FC line last summer, and I believe it helped, especially during the tough bite time. I have been using it ever since. There was a post on this board regarding how the line sinks more so than mono. Something to be conscious about when determining the length of snell, distance from bottom, and speed. I sometimes use a hollow bead or float to keep the bait from dragging the bottom.
