I noticed Lund has come up with a nifty little boarding ladder that fits into an app. 4 inch square hole cut into your transom just under the gunwhale. I have an older Lund Tyee (1999) that I really don't want to put the traditional Teak boarding Platform on and I'm thinking this might be the way to go. Anyone tried this yet?
Thanks

I dont no anything about a 4 inche hole but here is the one on my boat-might save your life if you fish in ice frozen rivers in the winter like mehttp://http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll64/corvette744/P3171257.jpg

That ladder is only available on the new 1975 and 2075 pro v I believe.

Try the Garelick swim step or something like that. I think the model # is 19535 or something like that.

I just installed a garelick "gull wing step" boarding ladder on our 1800 explorer{06} model 19854. great ladder. only thing on your transom is a 4" by 5.5" plate. fast on/off when not in use. holds 400 lbs. flips up if you forget about it and take off. cost about $300

Lund is working on a ladder similar to the gunnel stow in the fiberglass boat. It will mount to the motor bolts and lock up in place. Should be available in early 2010.
