ok, I have a question for u experienced boaters. On my Starcraft I bought, it has a kicker. I have the bar to attach to both motors to steer but I found out its not best to leave the dock with it attached all the time, going out to troll for walleye, the bouncing around of the kicker motor sheared the mount off the main motor so the bar couldnt be used now to troll with the kicker. I got the piece welded back onto the main motor now so that is a go. My issue is, what are you guys doing to keep the kicker motor from bouncing all around while your motoring along??
I just welded a bracket replacing the brack where a handle would go to the kicker so I can ratchet or tie down the kicker with turnbuckles so it wont move left or right or bounce as much but havent been on the Lake yet to test.
But I am curious as to what you guys do to keep your kicker from going nuts back there when your wide open heading out to fish??

I haven't disconnected my kicker in five years. I fish Lake Erie 99.9% of the time. Lake Erie is seldom flat. I like to run as fast as conditions allow me to, without beating me, the passengers, and the boat up.

I've never had a problem with the connector bar.

I take it the connecto bar is the 1 that links the 2 motors up?? What I have, or just found out the name is an E.Z. Steer.

Thats what I had been doing but the I can't post pix here but the 1 end broke off the main motor but I got it fixed back up. When the connecto bar is attached, it still bounces pretty good & figured the bracket thatthe kicker is attached to, to the boat is taking some beating.

I got the picture to re-szie but u can see the bracket on the main motor & the kicker of both stems for the connecto bar.
