I have a small swim platform with folding ladder on the port side of my boat which is held on with 4 bolts, Then I bought a 9.9 kicker motor and put it on the starboard side because the swim platform was already on the port side. Is it worth drilling new holes in the transom to move the kicker to the port side ? I am thinking it would balance the weight in the boat better especially when in the boat alone. Do you guys agree ?

If your Starcraft is anything like my Lund, I ran out of fingers and toes trying to count all the fasteners that go thru the transom, so 4 more is no big deal. Get some good marine sealant like 3M 4200 or 5200, and find some button head stainless bolts (for a nice clean look) to fill the holes. Maybe even a little touch-up paint on the screw heads, and you'll forget they're even there.
