We were discussing transome tie downs for our boats at work and some one mentioned retractable ones, a little web searching came up with what looks like a nice one, the G2 Retractable Transome Tie-downs.

Seems like they look ok, but I'd like to contact the manuf to see what size base these need to mount to, all I seem to find is dealers and three emails have yet to get replies.

Anybody use these or know where to get mounting info?

Al I put the Boat Buckle retractable units on my Shorelandr trailer and they work great. Available at Fleet Farm for about $50, stainless steel version about $70. Sure like the convenience as well.

They are so handy I'd pay ALOT more than the $50 they cost!!

Thanks all, they sure look easier to deal with than the straps I have now, I'll put a pair on my shopping list.

Yesturday I hit Fleet Farm and picked up a set of the Boatbuckle G2 tie downs, have to say I'd put these on the top of my to get list if I ever get another trailer.
Installation went well and they work slick, no more keeping track of the straps I used to have and time to hook up to the boat is just a few seconds.

They were under $60 and well worth it.

If this works, there should be three pictures of what I bought, and a before and after.
