I just got new truck, and it has aluminum wheels and the wheel wieghts are on the outside of the rims, on my last vehicle these wieghts left a mark in the rims. Can I have the weights moved to the inside of the wheels to prevent damage in the clear coat?
thanks moreyes

It can be done, my wifes car has the weights on the inside, however I heard some ppl say is causes either noise or wobble (can't remember). Never noticed a difference with the car though.....(:
When you go to the shop ask to have your wheel "Static Balanced" this will place the wheel weights on the inside of the rim. I run 31" tire on my pick-up this way and have never had a balance problem. If you rotate and balance your wheel regularily should npt have to worry about your wheels becoming discolored. Wheel weights that are made for aluminuim wheels have a gray coating on them that protects the wheel.
