I have a buddy who has a Lowrance 110 on the console that is networked with a X26 on the bow.
Last weekend the 110 started, for lack of a better term, flashing.
The unit is displaying both sonar and gps correctly and working fine other than the screen is pulsing darker and lighter contantly.
When the unit is shut off and turned back on it takes anywheres from 30 seconds to a minute before it start this.
The front unit that is networked with it is fine.
The voltage is showing fine.
Did a soft reset, no change.
Removed all SD cards/chips, no change.
None of the keys appear to be "stuck in" as can happen sometimes.
Any ideas?
Did you recently update the software to version 2.5 on either unit? I was experiencing the same issue after a non-complete install of the software. I forced a re-install and the issue appears to have cleared itself for me.
I was experiencing this on my Globalmap 7200C which is also networked
Good luck :)

Thanks JDR,
No no recent software upgrades but I will look at the version he is running. I would not doubt it needs updating.

What does the Voltage meter on the unit say?
Might be a low voltage deal too?
Check fuse connections, and the spring tension on the fuse if it has such a fuse link. I had a different sonar unit do that once and it was a voltage drop in the line at the end of the day.
There is an outside chance it may be the motors alternator too, it may be weak, that's if it only does it when the charging motor is running?

Voltage reads 13 volts which leads me to believe that is not the problem but your suggestion of checking a fuse connection is a good one.
I will try that.
Thanks

Do a soft reset on it and see if that clears it up. With the unit turned off hold down the pages key and the power key until the map screen comes up.
You might try different backlight intensity(power button). The pulsing brighter and darker may be related to the backlighting?

My lowrance 102 went through what it sounds like you are discussing.
Does it seem like the unit is going through the various backlight settings; bright, dim, dimmer and continually flashing between those 3-4 settings? that is what mine seemed to be doing. Every thing else seemed to be working normally.
I got hold of Linda Colt from lowrance and she had me send it in. Got another 102 back from her within about a month.
