I have a lcx-15mt with blue connections on the bow of my boat and the x125 with grey connectors mounted at the back of the boat. Can I just swap the units or do I have to pull all the cords and rewire both units???
Do you mean the cables comming off the boat going TO the head unit have blue connector ends or are the connector ports on the LCX15 itself Blue? The LCX15 was in the original generation that had gray connectors just like the LCX19's. I believe the "blue" generation would have started with the LCX25, LMS332, GM3500, etc. units.

The lcx-15mt has grey connectors on the unit as well as the power and sonar cables are grey. The x125 has both blue connectors on the unit and all connecting cables have blue ends.

One way to find this answer is to go to the Lowrance Extras site and see if the two different units use the same power cord and transducer. If they do, your existing plugs will work with both units.

Regardless of which generation head unit you have, you can interchange transducers with either gray or blue connector ends on the cables. The only thing that should be affected will be your temp readout possibly. The blue connector generation went from analog to digital data read out so the gray connector units will not process that data. As far as sonar readout, either blue or gray connector will work for bottom read and sonar overlay data. Gray transducer cables will work with blue units and blue transducer cables will work with gray units, this is applicable for transducer cable only. I don't know if the same can be said for power cables or not as I never looked to see if the pin configuration stayed the same.
