I have simlilar quotes from Shoreland'r and EZ Loader for a tandem bunk trailer. Any thoughts if one is clearly better?

A few years ago, I needed to replace my trailer. I went with EZ Junker. What a huge mistake. There are only 4 major components to a trailer. The lights, the hubs, the braking system, and the paint. ALL FOUR WERE DEFECTIVE. When I contacted EZ Junk, they said its the dealers problem, and just keep bringing it back until the get it right. After numerous trips to the dealer, and their failure to get it right I corrected things myself. The lights had a short, so I rewired. The surge brakes did not work, so I took them apart, found the problem and fixed it. One of the hubs leaked, and fortunately for me at the time I was in Bemiji. I took it in, and they fixed it correctly. Too bad the paint is poor and they won't stand behind it. Its chipping and peeling. A word to the wise STAY AWAY FROM EZJUNKER TRAILER.

I'd go with EZ Loader (that's what I have now) just because of the availability of the torsion-axle suspension. Certainly, there's millions of leaf spring-suspension trailers, but I really like the totally independant nature of the torsion axle(s).

I had a sleazyloader under my 1800 fisherman and it has been great, although I live on the lake and only trailer my boat less than a 1/2 mile to the launch. I had a shorlander under my '95 1700 Tyee and it was a good trailer too, but I had tire wear-out issues due to a bent axle that I didn't correct for several years. It was great after that, but it was screwed up from the factory. The shorelander was a roller trailer and it loaded like a saddle on a hog, whereas the sleazyloader is a bunk and it loads perfect everytime.

I'm with HRG on this one. Even though I don't have an EZ Loader. I have a Prestige (R.I.P.) with torsion axle. I think there is a big difference in ride. I'd say go with the torsion axle.
