Over Labor Day weekend I had plans to make a round 3 trip for kings on Lake O out of Olcott for one last run before I decend back to my walleye roots on Erie, now that Mark has been transplanted to Buffalo I figured I would invite him for some fishing. I've never met Mark before and all I can say is he is one solid guy and we had a great time fishing together, he's a pollack as well so that might have had something to do with it :D, he came down and fished saturday evening and sunday morning and he ended up with a couple shakers and two good kings. Here they are.

Both fish came on wire running spin docs and a tom mik flys. That's a friend Mikey that tagged along for the trip, cheesing it up a little bit in the pic with Mark.

Nice to meet you Mark and even better fishing with you. Next time I'm up there we'll have to tag team again for sure.

Oh Sure

Move east and it's salmon time!

Tooks years before he would seek a Lake Michgan salmon. LOL

Kgone, you must have had some mighty fine chichen to lure him. LOL

Mark is a good guy good stick and we miss him around these parts.

Mark, glad you are finding a good fit.

Maybe we can hook up over to Erie in late Oct/Nov.

He's welcome to come down to fish with me on Erie anytime this fall when I'm out. I'll be fishing Huron to Cleveland from now till ice up for hogs, I'm a walleye fisherman but I sure got a new love for salmon fishing that's for sure, I'm loving the new challenge at figureing out a new species on a new lake, totally different than walleye fishing except it's still big water trolling.

I had Mark out on erie for eyes, but I think his accent scared them LOL

Had a great time, Mark is a good guy.

Now I need to get out with KGone and get a good lesson on how to catch walleye.

KGone you need to come up and fish the lower river for salmon, steelhead and browns....

I'd like to try and hook up with you, when I have no idea, the rest of this month is shot and october is looking shot as well with my 30th birthday weekend the 3rd, the WC Get Together, then into November, I'm going on a cruise for 8 days, plus Thanksgiving.....I'm sure I'll be fishing on Erie and at night alot during the week but I just don't see any weekends away from home until winter but then my boat will be put away...HOWEVER...I do know some guys with tin battle wagons that might be willing to drag there duck boats up there for some fishing. (20 ft Lund Alaskan 115 Merc) that I could talk into doing some Niagra river fishing. I've been meaning to do it the last couple years I just haven't yet, I was going to take a guide but would rather just figure it on on my own for free, I know how to drift live bait with pencil sinkers and I do steelie fish on Erie tribs so I know how to do that...just will be on a bigger deeper river you know.

By the way I don't know how to catch walleye, it's all a front.:D

Maybe we'll bump into each other if you are going to the WC get together, my wife and I will be there

if you decided a guide up here Frank Campbell and Both Criss and Joe Cinelli are excellent, mentiopn I told you to call and they might give you a price break. The best salmon fishing on the river is up in the hole, you go past both american and canadian power plants. You will see about a 3 foot rise in the water, you are actually going kind of like up hill in extreme current. When you go past the canadian power plant stay towards our side and when yopu are going past our power plant stay on the canadian side. Once you pass the power plants the water calms down alot. Just watch the other boats and go where they are and you won't hit a rock or anything. Also watch the shore line and you can see the water fluctuation when its high and whem its low. Pencil sinker 3 way with skein or quickfish.

Yep, it was a great time. Hey MikeF good to hear from ya. Those ontario kings are trucks indeed. I think they grow a bit bigger out here. We had a good time.

Still looking for my chicken connection. Should be able to find some in buffalo soon.

Thanks again Kevin and Mikey. Polski's all the way!
