No real secrets, but go easy and sneak up on the sweet spot. The Reef Runners work best at 1.5 - 2.5 mph and get real tricky at speeds over 2.8. Also, be aware that the lure will kick out, so don't assume it to be out of tune because it kicks out when you rip it. Rip it several times. When it is tuned perfectly it will kick out left and right both. This built in horizontal hunting action triggers following fish. Also check it every time you set it as they can get knocked out of tune in the net. Sounds like a problematic situation, but actually it is a small price to pay. These lures have won more tournaments in the last few years than any other. There's got to be a reason for that. Good luck.
