LCX 112c...can not load update

Got to looking at the 112c that came with this boat and noticed that it was a ver. 1.7.0, was looking at the Lowrance site and it shows an up date for it. Down loaded to a sandisk and tried to install. Would not install..tried both slots with no luck...I have my Kansas map in upper slot and it works fine. Any thoughts about what to do!!!

These are not like a lot of maps that install automatically. You need to tell it to transder data and say load!
should work!

You should see these three files,

Lion_v250t.bin
Phantom_2.ldr
Update.lop

But,
If you downloaded "LCX-112C_250"
(with a sailboat icon), click on that
file to "run" it to produce the above
three files. Then take all the cards
out of th 112. Put the update card
in an turn on the 112. The new update
will autoload.

This is the information that I get when I go to the software section:

LCX 112C
Ver 1.7.0
Build LL10790C
STV 256

I do have the three files( that Vaguy mentioned) on my data chip but when I insert it into the Lcx and turn on the unit, these numbers never change. I am assuming if the download went through the Ver. should read Ver.2.5.0.

What am I missing here?

Just update the software on my unit. Had a similar problem. Make sure the chip is NOT an HD chip.

I am using a sandisk 4GB ..sdhc card. Is this the problem?

WALA....Thank you Scott f...that was the problem...took my 128mb map chip , moved maps to my hard drive re downloaded the up date. and it installed perfectly.
Now I hope I can recover my maps...
