Just a quick heads up to those FLW contestants coming to Bismarck at the end of the month. There is a major contruction area on Highway 1804 South of Bismarck, near Mary College. There is about 3 miles of sand/gravel road which is wetted several times a day. Expect to get your vehicles and boats muddy if you travel this route to get to the rifle range, Hazelton ramp or Beaver Bay.
To avoid the contruction zone, take Main Street east which is called County Highway 10 once you leave the city limits. Continue on County Highway 10 approx 7 - 8 miles to 158th Street, (Menoken). Take a right, (south), on 158th St. until 158th St. hooks up with 1804. Continue South on 1804 to Hazelton and Beaver Bay ramps. Take a right, (west), on 1804 to get to McLean Bottom - the rifle range. This route is all paved and will bypass the construction area.
Also, Red Tailed Chubs are an illegal bait in No. Dak., and Leeches, Creek Chubs, and minnows cannot be imported into N.D. except by licensed and inspected vendors.
