Getting spinners in the right zone.

Just came back from the WC midwest GTG on Winnie. Losts of fish were taken on spinners. Talked with a few guys to see what their method was for getting the spinners down to the 'eyes (and perch...)

I haven't used spinners that much and when I do it's usually with a bottom bouncer or Lindy rig setup so my experience is very limited.

Just wondering what you do , how you determine the weight/depth, etc? Doing a few web searches causes me to beileve that there are a bunch of different methods. Would like to know more.
