The Appleton Post Crescent reported today that Scheels is going to put a mega-store in the Fox River Mall in Appleton, Wisconsin. The new store will be 95000 sqft and they say it will be "the most elegant retail store in the area". The fishing shop will be half the size that the entire Scheels is now.
Has anyone ever been in a Scheels mega-store? Is this something we should get excited about?

They are currently building one here in Sioux Falls, but I believe it's going to be around 140,000 sq feet. Multi level unit. If you going to do it, do it right

geez! The Cabelas in Owattona is 150000sq. ft. It will be fun to see a scheels that size! God, I'm glad I live here! Mitchell-150 mi. Owattona-135 mi. Sioux Falls-90 mi. And lakes each direction!
Don, Actually it's only about 100,000 sq. ft. 50,000sq. ft. on both levels. Can't wait though now if I could only win the lottery :)

The only thing bad about this is now I'll have to go to that overcrowded zoo of a mall. Oh well, it could be worse I guess.

Your right about it being at the mall. The only thing is that its at tghe Western Mall the old one. And right now there is plenty of parking and easy access off of I-229 only two stop lights to go through now. I'm sure the light engineers for the city of Sioux Falls will have that changed-making sure you have to go through at least 5 stop lights, but thats another story. See Yaa sdmike

I was referring to the mall in Appleton, but it's nice to know other malls have the same problems. :-)
