Lowrance sonar/MinnKota universal transducer

Can anyone tell me if a Lowrance LMS-350A will work with the new Minn Kota Genesis with the universal transducer.

I dont think it will! It is made to work with the x series I think!

You seem fairly certain by your comments. Have you tried it or do you know someone who is running it this way for sure. I am hoping to run this on the bow and the X-15MT on the console.

Hey Matt,

My understanding is you can get the adapter from Lowrance although it is not listed in the catalouges. Give them a call Monday. Sorry, if I'm wrong.

It seems that the other adapters are advertised in the Minn Kota brouchere. Does the one for the LMS-350A come from Lowrance.

That is what I was told by a salesman when I was shopping for a motor a few weeks ago. He said they werent advertised due to it being a discontinued model. I tried to look at the pinouts, but they are not on the web for the LMS350 anymore.

Here's the deal. Just got off the phone with Lowrance and they told me the universal transducers on the Minn Kota trolling motors are made to run at 50khz or 200khz and will not work on the LMS-350A because it uses a 192khz transducer.

But on the other hand here is an email I received today from Minn Kota.

Bryan,
Regarding Universal Sonar motors, the MKR-US-5 adapter plug should connect to your LMS-350A but we don't cross reference it on our Universal Sonar motor adapter chart. The reason is it either didn't pass our performance test or we didn't have time to test it yet. Therefore, we cannot suggest this at this time.
