Could someone help me with the depths and line out info for the Rapala Deep Tail Dancer TDD-7. My Precision Trolling book doesn't have this new lure in it, most of you guys are probaly in the same boat. I caught 2 walleyes on it last week at 80 ft back but don't know the depth I was running the lure. Max swimming depth is advertised at 15 ft.
Thanks

Is it an Original Tail Dancer or a Deep Tail Dancer? It may sound stupid, but there is a difference.

Laker - I've been using the TDD-7 alot this year. Most of My time is spent River trolling with 14lb. Fireline. Sorry to say, I know of no published dive curves with this lure. I have the Rapala Pocket Guide, but it was put out before the Deep series Tail Dancers came out. I can tell You (with 14lb. Fireline) 80' back will have You very close to 14' deep. 100' back I can have it ticking in 16'. The Clown Flash color has been KILLER for Me this season. Good luck, C-man.

I have the new book.
TDD-7 80ft back with 10# mono shows 14ft deep; 80ft back with 10/4 Fireline shows between 17 & 18ft deep.
As far as max depth. With 10# mono it shows 18ft @ 160 ft back. 10/4 Fireline shows 23ft @ 185 ft back.
Hope this helps.
