Here in western Minnesota the fishing action remains very good! I guided for walleyes on Ottertail earlier this week and found lots off fish relating to deep structure like sunken humps and islands. Caught them on crawlers on Roach Rig snells pulled behind bottom bouncers. Productive depths were from 34-40 feet.

Additionally, the bass action is dynamite. Have been fishing various smaller lakes with very good success. Jig-worm combinations have produced fish all summer and remain good producers this fall. However, I have been using 5/8-ounce Jungle Jigs tipped with Chigger Chunks and fishing weed clumps on the top of flats for outstanding catches. Many of these clumps are in 6-8 feet of water and when you find the fish, you can usually catch a bunch in a small area.

I look for the remainder of fall to be very good for Minnesota fishing action. If you can find some time between hunting trips, it would probably be wise to spend some time in the boat!

Good luck on the water!
