Jigging Questions

Hello,

Will be up in the Brainerd area (closer to Backus or Hackensack) next week.

What are your thoughts on using a grub in addition to the minnow? Also, is it too late to use worms?

What are your favorite colors for jig heads and grubs? Should the grub match the jig head?

I usually add a 3 or 4 inch grub to my jig (depending on shank length) and then tip it with a 3" gulp minnow or a live minnow.
I find the extra bulk and smell ups hooking percentage.
Keith Kavajecz wrote an article about this very issue in Walleye In-Sider awhile back.
Sometimes he also uses 2 minnows on his jig when water is very murky.
