Rumors in the Empire State

I have heard some rumors kicking around for about the last 6 months and I was just wondering if anyone could substantiate or dispell them.
I hope both are true....and coming soon.

Rumor #1 : There are plans to build a Cabela's store in the Syracuse
NY area.

Rumor #2 : There are plans for Bass Pro Shops to open a store in
Buffalo NY at "The Aud" (where Sabres used to play).

I'm very skeptical of rumors and don't usually buy into them, but in this case I am hopefull the rumors are true.

WATER-WOLF, WE LIVE 10 MINUTES from the carousel mall and they are going to expand the mall to try and make it the largest in the country.and they say cabelas is coming to the mall . they have not started the expandtion yet.but that would be great ,now i can spend more money and get more tackle,just what i need.

I've heard Cabela's is coming to Syracuse, but I'm not sure about the BassPro rumors. I heard that BPS was considering a store last year, but felt the market was pretty full with Dick's and Gaylan's.

I heard same rumors in the paper .But it wasnt saying it was for sure though.

Pulling boat out of storage this week and waiting for opener.

Cant wait to get back to Erie.

No Rumor anymore on the Cabelas coming to Carousel Mall.
It's a done deal !
I live about 3/4 of a mile from the mall in Liverpool and have been keeping up on the new stores who will be anchoring the mall expansion.
Cabelas is the main attraction and they've signed the deal.

Another good deal I heard of a few weeks back as that Gaylans will be moving into the shopping center that was once the Fayetteville Mall.
It looks like a deal has been signed according to the developers so it'll be a nice addition to the area and a much needed one too as Dicks is the only show in town and they're just terrible around here.
Gaylans will be open before the Carousel Mall expansion even starts so at least we'll have a place to drop the paychecks before Cabelas is done

Great just what I needed, a Cabelas on the way fishing! Hopefully I will forget all my lures after the store opens. I have never been to a Cabelas ( although they been to my home many times ). I will need to stop by and pay a visit to them. Thanks for the info and keep us posted please. JJ

The first time you enter a Cabelas store, just make sure you've left your credit cards at home and you keep your hands in your pocket !
For some strange reason, money just flies out of your pockets when you go in their stores !
The Dundee Michigan store is awsome and takes a whole day to really see everything but you might need a loan shark on speed dial by the time you get out of there.
just a nice place all around.
Having a Cabelas less than a mile from my house will be something I'll have to learn to deal with.
Maybe I'll just fill out an application for employment !
