I have the speed paddle wheel and the gps stuff and I cant seem to get a reading on water speed. I get a water temp reading but cant get a speed temp. Do I have to initialize this part of the unit or something? Or is it supposed to work by itself right out of the box?

Brian: I have the X15 and am going to get the speed paddle too. I did notice there was a window you could add (customize) on the graph side. You can't get a GPS speed in the plotter mode, you have to click to the digital mode, and that why I want to add the paddle too. Check the manuel again, I think you will find the answer.
