Has anyone used these batteries yet? I am wondering how they perform?
They claim you can install them in any direction. Was wondering what the retail price is on these batteries?
I am interested in the D34M model and can I use two of these to convert to 24 volts? They also claim they only 43.5 pounds for one batterey which is 30 pounds lighter than the ones I am using now.
Thanks in advance!! ShadMan

The new In-Fisherman magazine had a great artical about deep cycle batteries and they talk about them. Check it out if you haven't already.

I have been looking into new trolling motor batteries also. If you are serious about the OPTIMA I would also go look at the Sears Diehard AGM batteries. I assume you are looking at the OPTIMA because it is an AGM (no maintenance) battery. The reason I recommend looking at the Diehard is that the OPTIMA only has a Reserve capacity of 124 minutes. Even the group 24 Diehard AGM battery has 155 minutes. The Diehard runs around $120 and the OPTIMA around $170. I can't testify to the Diehard's reliability but if you have problems a sears store is not usually far away.
Just a thought.
