I'm looking for a muskie sized landing net. I checked both Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops and didn't see anything big enough. Am I missing them? Any suggestions for a net or where to get one at a good price?

Musky nets, try www.muskyshop.com (http://www.muskyshop.com) they are in the minoqua, wi area. the two brands I'd look at are frabill and beckman.

I prefer the frabil cradle. You wont tear up the tail and fins as bad on large fish.

I bough the Frabill 8425 Power Catch "Big Game" Net this season and it is all the net I will ever need. The netting is thick and coated and the hoop is smaller that the Big Kahuna which would over take my boat.
The net is deep and big enough to keep the bigest Musky in the water while unhooking.
Gander MTN in Janesville have them in stock.

I'm a big fan of my beckman net. It's the biggest model, deepest bag they make and has the "fin saver" mesh bag with smaller squares to protect tails and fins from splitting, which is important for the fish.
I use a cradle when there are two experienced anglers to operate it. It's not something I use if someone handled big fish before, whether they are on the rod or holding the cradle.
If you are going to seriously target muskies, get the biggest net of whichever company you go with. The more room they have in the bottom of the net, the safer for you when unhooking.
Any net without treated or coated mesh should be disregarded. They will eat up hooks and hurt the fish.
I got my net at Thorne Bros. Hard to beat their service and price.

I second the Beckman fin saver. I put a 41 and 47 in my Beckman at the same time last week and had room for a third fish.
And you can't beat Burt's Custom Tackle net holders to store your nets. I have one on each side of my boat in tracks right next to my trolling rod holders. Bullet proof, keeps my nets off the deck and out of the way, and can run all over the lake without worrying about the nets flying around.
