Moderator ?

I have a question for the moderator. I am purchasing a trolling motor worth $700 off of the classified site but would like some type of message record on this site for the purchase. Is this the correct place to post what I am purchasing along with the seller confirming it? If not, could you let me know another way to confirm this purchase/transaction on this site, his classified has already run out and is no longer running. (the purchase would be myself sending a cashiers check to the individual and after him receiving this check sending the trolling motor to myself).

This purchase is between you and the seller....Walleye Central is not involved in the purchase or the selling.

All we did was sell a classified ad.

You can email him and save copies of the email or whatever you prefer to do but posting it here doesn't do anything to protect you other than to have a record of conversation.....which is the same as an email.

So....you are sure more than welcome to post here and have him confirm the transaction here......that is up to you guys.

But....this is a transaction between the two of you.

You may want to check out doing business through PayPal. There will be a paper trail, which is what you are looking for.
