I just purchased the Mille Lacs version of this product. I have seen past posts about computers "freezing" up while using it, well, add me to that list. I'm running windows '98. It has froze everytime i've tried to run it. The printing function has not worked either. Does anyone know how to get this straightened out? I have been waiting for this for a long time and I'm really bummed!! Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the Lakemaster program and I run it on Window 98 and I have no problems with locking up or printing. I also run it on XP and haven't had any problems with that either. There was a lengthy thread on fishingminnesota.com that discusses some of the problems and how to fix them. If I remember right it is under the Mille Lacs area forum, otherwise just do a site search of all the forums on "Reel Bottom". I did call the company on 1 issue I had about transferring waypoints and they were very helpful, so call the company and have them help you. Good Luck.

Mille Lacs Guy,

I just got off the phone with Lakemaster. The guy I talked to was great, got the locking up problem cleared up. I'm still having problems printing. When it acually prints, its really dark and hard to see. I'm not the most computer literate, so if you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Do you have a color printer? If you do not what is supposed to be different shades of blue for the lake could be coming out all black, making it unreadable. If you do have a color printer and its not working I don't know what to say.

Have the Lakemaster product also.....a great product has helped me put a few muskie on line I never would have without its help.....I have had no problems with mine ....likely your printing problems can be resolved by changing colour codes on your printer thru your computerprogram......as with anything new it will take time to orientate yourself with this product . At least it is userfreindly and a grat supportive team .

I just purchased the Millelacs 1' contour and 100 lakes version and I am impressed with it so far I hope transfering waypoints to my global nav 310 is as easy as they say it is I can't wait to get the cable and get it working properly.
I have no problems with lockup or printing and I am running 98 2nd edition.

I have never exp. the freeze up problem but did have problems printing and I removed and re-installed the printer driver and it works great. Try printing in greyscale, alot faster and a heck of alot less ink.

How would you guys compare the Lakemaster to the Walleye Whiffer II ?

Well, I think I have all the bugs worked out. This thing is AMAZING!! Once I got the printer to work everything was great. I guess the true test will be how accurate the GPS numbers are. I think this blows Whiffer right out of the water. It's just a lot of fun to play with as I stare at the calander;)

as for accuracy id have to say there pretty dang close on my home lake i transferred points from gps to maps and couldnt beleive just how accurate it really was and al the points that were hits i could easily identify and delete as for locking up i think i need to slow down and let the program do its thing

There is no comparison from lakemaster to wiffer. I have both and am going to never use the wiffers again. No offence to King Tut, I used those maps for quite a few years.

Has anyone uploaded waypoints to there unit? I am wondering do I need a sepperate power supply for my GPS unit while uploading at the puter besides the puter connection or does the puter connection give you power to run the unit. Another question is where do I get a puter connection for a Lowrance Global Nav 310.
Thanks
