Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone would share information on Walleye fishing in Bull Shoals lake... Me and the wife are heading down for a week at a cabin just south of Mountain Home. I've checked on the web, but I don't think they fish the way we do here in Iowa on the Mississippi. If you could share your experiences with the techniques you use for fishing that lake - that would be very helpful. I'll probably have to rent a boat so I'm thinking I should get a lake map so I can find my back to the boat landing...I guess the lake is kinda BIG!!!

On another topic, Is there a specific place on this website where I could find info and or posts on specific areas or bodies of water, or do I have to post my queries here?

Thanks and tight lines,
Noel

Noel, I do not want to spoil your fun, but Bull Shoals Lake by Friday will be 16 feet over normal pool. We just had 3 inches of rain yesterday and the lake is still rising! The fishing this summer was great for Walleyes, but has been slow as of late. No telling what this rain will do.

Bottom bouncing was producing the best this year with leadcore trolling with Flicker Shads, Hot'N Tots, etc working too. Fishing mostly points.

Bull Shoals is a very big lake, and with all of this rain, it is even bigger.

If the lake is rising you could try the river below or Lake Tannycomo. Trout fishing that is pretty darn good.

The high water in Texas has the crappie shallow in some lakes and the striper fishing is also very good.

So maybe a call to a local guide would be in order.

Thanks for the replies! Maybe I'll just try casting from shore for now.
Thanks again,
Noel

It has been raining most of the day today also! A good friend of mine guided a trip on Bull Shoals yesterday and did not get one Walleye.

The fishing is very tough right now!

Well it rained all night and it is raining this morning!

The next 10 days look pretty clear though.

You can also set it in your User Control Panel options to have the PM's sent to your regular email too. It's easier than trying to remember to look and see if there are any PM's here. :)

Today is the first day of clear weather in some time. I was out on Lake Norfork for a couple of hours and the lake is way up!
