For those of you with a T8 kicker on your 1850's and 1860's, how fast will the kicker push your hull WOT?

It depends on where I'm at, River, Lake, etc. anywhere from 3.5 to 6 mph

It will push about any walleye boat @ around 6mph top speed.
I have tried it on many boats.

Thanks for the replies. Couldn't get over 3.4 mph with a full load into a 10-15 mph wind yesterday. I don't know what I was thinking, but I thought I would get at least 5 mph even under such conditions.

A 10-15 mph wind isn't strong enough to reduce speed that much. Was that 3.4 mph speed over water or speed over ground? Like T Mac, I've run 7.5-15 horse kickers on boats this size and the WOT speed has always been 6-7 mph. I run a 40-year-old 3 horse on my 16.5' Alumacraft and it will do 5.5 WOT.

3.4 on the GPS. I thought it would get to at least 5 mph but I did have a large load.
May have to rig up a tach on this thing and try some props out. 3.4 on the lake won't cut it when I get into the 4 knot current in the St Clair River.

Something is wrong there.
My experience is all at 3800 ft or so... which would cause about 10% HP loss... and we still get about 6mph ...even on Cabin cruisers....?

That's also what I'm thinking and I doubt the prop is the cause. I changed the prop on my 15 horse Mariner from a 9 pitch to a 5.5 and the speed at WOT barely changed, while rpm went up significantly (boat is a 19' Yarcraft).

Something is wrong with the setup. Even in rough water and wind, I can get 5mph. My boat is pretty loaded too and that is with 4 people, granted two are 100lb kids, but still???? I know the high thrust prop isn't a speed demon, but like T-mac said, they are pushing way bigger boats at elevation and still getting good speed. Maybe have the motor checked??
