To anyone using a Garmin 240 WITH Speed, does the speed display in TENTHS of MPH or just to the nearest MPH?? I looked at one at a local retailer and could not get it to read in Demo Mode... b I like tenths for trolling speeds.
For example ..

EPS,
I have the 240 with speed, and if memory serves me correct, the unit displays in tenths at lower speeds ( I'm thinking <5MPH or <10MPH) then to the nearest full MPH after that. Unfortunately last October was a long time ago, and I can't remember at what speed the tenths-cutoff happened!
Looking forward to soft water...

I just bought a 240 for my bow and will install it when the boat comes out of winter storage. Do either one of you guys or anyone else know if this unit will interfere with my Lowrance X75 that's connected the the stearn? I plan on running both units at the same time often. Thanks.

As long as the transducers are working on two separate frequencies then you should be OK. I know the Garmin 240 has 200 Khz, but I am not sure what the old X-75 is. The newer X-85 operates on 192Khz so if that is the same as the old X-75 then you should be OK. I would contact Garmin or Lowrance to get the official word though.
