Any rule of thumb rgarding trade in values as a Ranger gets older? IE boats 5 yrs and newer bring in the highest value after that might as well keep it and run it forever because the trade in value really drops off after 5 years.

You will be better off selling it yourself and then buying a new boat. Trade in's never make as much as selling it yourself.
List it at a good price and it will move fairly quickly. Rangers priced right in the Walleye Central Classifieds don't stay there for very long.
Make sure you have lots of pictures to send to anyone that asks for them too.

I listed my Ranger in the classifieds here and it sold in 9 hours!
and it wasn't to the first offer either.
