My friends and I usually take what we call a guys trip every year, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about Mille Lacs. We are interested in there launch services, and if they had any package deals that included a cottage or hotel room. We will probably be fishing 2 to 3 days, ariving on a Friday and leaving on a Sunday or Monday. If any one has any suggestions we would really appreciate it. Went to Erie last year and had a ball, would recommend it to anybody.

Thanks I appreciate your help.

Eddies has a decent package deal, McQuades(?) on the south side also
is a good bet.

Launches can be alot of fun. We usually get a bunch of guys togeather and fish one every year. I try to find one that is not crowded, which is hard. We usually use dickies they have a pontoon and will sometimes just have your party on it. Of all of them I think dickies takes the catching of walleyes the most serious. I have done real well in the past. If you do fish a launch boat pick through the leeches and hand select some honey-bees. I have found that most leeches on launches can be a little spotty and dead.
Good luck!

I pesonally would stay away from Eddie's. They really screwed me one time. We had a big office party there last summer. I was quoted a price on the phone for the launch, and several hotel rooms. The next day when it was time to pay, the price was over double the quote. I told them the name of the woman I spoke to, but they just stared at me and basically said "so what". I have been on Seguchie's several times since then and they are great!! Better flat bottom boats and they are real people, not a huge conglomerate. I just feel better giving my money to a regular "Joe" trying to make a living.

Eddies to me woould be the best aroound. Call and talk to Dave Bentley to set up what you need. He always takes good care of the people that stay there.
