Boy was I disappointed when I saw the new Lund catalog. My dream boat- introduced in 2009 for one big year only- is not part of the 2010 lineup and Im assuming discontinued.
Im talking about the 2010 Predator sport. Ive owned a 2025 Pro V LE for 8 years now and my wife has always hated the single bubble and two seats.( On many a cool May or November day cant say that I didnt agree with her). I promised her when I bought my next boat that it would have a windshield and be a little more family friendly.
When I saw the Predator sport I KNEW that was my next boat. That machine had everything a hardcore angler who is also a family man would want. Huge bow platform, windshield, big outboard capacity, flip up back seats for the kiddies.
For a multispecies angler, who wants to jig walleyes, throw a jerkbait for smallies, troll for muskies or pitch for largemouth that boat would have been awesome.
Hopefully I can find an '09 kicking around somewhere.
How does Lund decide to discontinue a boat after just one year? Is it purely sales based? Because if it is, maybe 2009 was not the best year to judge that by?
Just my two cents.
