Edge 3 settings - anyone willing to share?

The Edge 2 manual had suggested settings for the modes, and they were a great place to start. However, the Edge 3 manual does not have any recommendations for the 4 modes. I have started out using the same settings as I had on the Edge 2, and have full screens showing for Mode 3 at 107 and Mode 4 at 400. Any of you Edge 3 users willing to share your menu settings for the 4 modes? You can PM me if you wish. Thanks

The settings on the various modes is the beauty of the Edge 3. You can easily experiment with different modes in the same situation. There are no rules or recommendations.

The only advice I got from Vex was when you run in the split screen mode with both frequencies on, make sure you have the 400khz on the right hand side of the display because it is the frequency that the digital depth display is generated from and will be more accurate.

Other than that, some of the settings I use is:

- 107khz on full screen for open water or lake trout fishing to get a wide beam.
- 107 or 400 full screen with 3rd echo to fine "hard spots" on featurless bottoms.
- One full screen with zoom on and another without set on the same frequency so you easily switch back and forth.

You can do what ever you like ! Hope this helps a little.
