Trying to find information on BIG screen protectors!

We bought a Wii yesterday and my 9yr old son is scaring the crap out of me swinging the remote around.

He stands far enough back, and wears the wrist strap, but I just am 'forward-thinking' that a screen protector would be prudent at this point.

The best I've found after a couple o' hours search is to go locally and find a place that has lexan and have it custom cut. My tv is the 73" DLP from Mitsubishi and I'm only finding shield/protectors that go up to about 55".

Any thoughts>>>

Assuming your like most average folks that have spent big bucks on big screen TV's, you likely have "another" smaller, older TV in use in another room. We had the same dilemma last year when we purchased our big screen and Wii and we ended up moving the Wii to that room with the smaller less expensive TV, end of headache and worry! Yeah, the Wii stuff looks better on the big screen, but better safe than sorry!

Your custom-cut Lexan idea would work, but you'll want to know how to handle the weight and bulk of that big chunk of plastic.

Personally, I wouldn't give a 9-year-old a $2000 toy and then worry he might break it. Can you just get him a smaller TV for use with the Wii?
