I have a Lowrance 527 df igps finder and I want to take it ice fishing. Does anyone know of, or have information, concerning a conversion. I know I can get batteries and a box pretty easy but what about the transducer or iceducer.... Thanks for the help.....

Lowrance sells a conversion kit for their units. It includes the box, battery and transducer.

I have been using many Lowrance 330, 520 for ice fishing would not go back to flasher. Just ordered a HDS 5 just for ice fishing wish there was some ice to try it. The lowrance kit works great plenty of room. I have 2 batteries in mine 1 bat will last about 8 hours. Reeds in Walker, MN has the Lowrance kits and just transducers, http://www.reedssports.com/

I have a 522 and bought a Cabelas ice fishing kit for it. The canvas case is a bit snug, but once it's all tucked inside it works really well. I like the Cabelas kit better than the Lowrance because it has the floating transducer not the arm style.

I was wondering if it matters that I have a 527 DF igps model. I can't seem to find a conversion kit for this exact model. I would buy a kit in a heart beat. I guess I'll contact lowrance.. thanks..

i use my 334c ,I put a 12 volt lawnmower battery in a bag type tackle bag attached my mounting bracket to a board cut the width and length of the battery leaving the exposed connectors for hook up. I use my trolling motor transducer and attached foam tube to it so it floats and it works great ..

I too was thinking of buying the ice fishing package for my HDS-5, a couple of friends of mine will be using vexilars and from what I understand if we are fishing together I will not be able to use my hds as there vexilar's will cause intererence is this the case? Do i have to fish with my hds by iteself or how far away would you have to be for it work properly?
