What are the weather conditions like today out in Detroit. Did it appear any of the boats were making the run into Lake Erie. Also, is there going to be a live leaderboard for this. Thanks for the info.

Hi Hugh. Can't really answer your questions, but I do have a couple of my own. I was wondering about the weigh-in time for the leader board. According to the RCL website, the weigh-in is at 3 p.m. which I assume is eastern. The live leader board says 4 p.m. central, which would be 5 p.m. eastern. Anybody know what time it really is?

I see that the Live LEader Board is going right now fromthe main page. I think that there are at leaset a couple of Pro's that are fishing out of more than one boat for the RCL and the PWT. I can think of at least two.

On a differant note, is according to the dealer, Pete Harsh ordered his boat a Ranger 620T about 3 weeks agao,a nd accordign to the dealer he has to waint in line like everybody else to get theri Ranger. So does anybodyknow, is he fishing out of his 620T, or where did the boat come from?

Bob waiting patiently for myt new 619

Hugh I was down helping Tim prefish last weekend. We soent all Sunday out on the lake and did not do much. Some fish are being caught on the reefs but not great numbers. Water is still cold.
I assume most of them are in the Trenton channel. That is the only place i heard of fish being caught in any numbers.

Talk to you soon,
Scott Hogland

Scott, good to hear from you. Are you going to the Erie PWT with Spike. Doesn't look like I can make it this year but I'm religiously guarding the first part of November for the Bay de Noc trip. Take care and hope to see you this year somewhere on the water.

No PWT's for me this year. Just got hitched, building house, started a new job, too many things going on. I will be fishing all of the WWA for WI/UP and probably the RCL Championship.

We missed you last year at LBDN. looking forward to another great trip.

I wounder has anyone addressed the effect of fishing while the fish are spawn?

Chuck,
10,000 times here every year! Let the experts handle this decision. If were detrimental to the fishery the DNR's would close the season or not allow the permits for these tournaments to be held during the spawn. Each of us the right to decide to fish or not during the spawn where the seasons are open, lets leave it that way!

The animal rights groups out there would like nothing more than to see these seasons closed everywhere. Closed seasons is one of those fringe areas that they work so hard on winning. It is an easy target for mass support. Half of the visiters (fisherman/woman) to this site are in favor of closed seasons during the spawn. I'll guarantee you that the PETA folks access these sites and use these posts to help sell/prove their points. Unknowingly, you and others who agree are fighting for their cause. The problem is that they don't stop and won't stop until they reach their goal: NON-USE OF ALL ANIMALS FOR ANY PURPOSE. Each time these people win a battle it makes their next victory that much easier.

So if you choose not fish during the spawn, I commend you for your morals. That is your choice, Thank God you can make it.

Fight for your rights now or they will be taken away from you one at a time at a pace in which you'll never notice. Fish legally, while you still can!!!

The link does not work anymore. I'd appreciate it.
It was in Minnesota, Detroit Lakes? All these Pickup trucks with racing trailers, sunk thru the ice............
